FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL - PETITION PAVING - 10th COURT and <br />18th AVENUE <br />The Board _reviewed the following memo dated 7/27/83: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of the DATE: July 27, 1983- FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright, <br />County Administrator SUBJECT: Final Assessment Roll - Petition Pavin <br />10th Court - 2nd Street to 4th Street <br />18th Avenue- 2nd Street to 4th Street <br />FROM: James w.Davis P E: REFERENCES: <br />Public Works D rector <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of 10th Court and 18th Avenue is complete. The final.cost and <br />preliminary estimate for the work was: <br />Final Cost/FF <br />Prelim. Cost/FF <br />Final. Cost <br />Preliminary Estimate <br />10th Court $6.4794 <br />$8.012 <br />$21,119.46 <br />$26,169.25 <br />18th Avenue $6.9617 <br />$8.267 <br />$19,038.90 <br />$26,169.45 <br />All construction costs are under the original estimates. The. Final Assessment <br />Rolls have been prepared and are ready to be delivered to the Clerk to the <br />Board.. Assessments are to be paid within 90 days or in two equal installments, <br />the first to be made twelve months from the due date and the second to be made <br />twenty-four months from the due date at the rate of interest established by <br />the Board of County Commissioners. The due date is 90 days after the final <br />determination of the special assessment. The interest rate shall be 12% per <br />annum. <br />ALTERNATIVE AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to be benefitted owners will be less than computed <br />on the preliminary assessment rolls, the only alternative presented is to approve <br />the final assessment rolls. The front footage total for 18th Avenue has been <br />increased since the County.has abandoned 3rd Street right-of-way. <br />RECONMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Final Assessment Rolls for the paving of 10th Court <br />and 18th Avenue be approved by the Board of County Commissioners and that they <br />be transmitted to the Office.of the Clerk to the Board for -collection. <br />Michelle Terry of the Public Works Department presented <br />staff's recommendation to approve the final assessment rolls <br />for the paving of 10th Court and 18th Avenue. <br />36 <br />AUG 3 1983 <br />.
