Final Assessment Roll - Petition Paving <br />11th Avenue - 2nd Street to S. Relief Car, <br />14th Street — 315.62 Ft. E. of US 1 to <br />6th Avenue <br />FROM: "-I REFERENCES: <br />James W. Davis, P. <br />Public Works Directo <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of 11th Avenue and 14th Street is complete. The final cost and <br />preliminary estimate for the work was: <br />Final Cost/FF Prelim. Cost/FF Final Cost Preliminary Estimate <br />11th Avenue $3.7686 $5.655 $10,119.07 <br />14th Street $8.3017 $8.334 $16,365.20 �- <br />$12.,801.22 $13,000.00 <br />All construction costs are under the original estimates. The Final Assessment <br />Rolls have been prepared and are ready to be delivered to the Clerk to the Board. <br />Assessments are to be paid within 90 days or in two equal installments, the first <br />to be made twelve months.from the due date and the second to be made twenty-four <br />months from the due date at the rate of interest established by the Board of <br />County Commissioners.. The due -date is 90 days after the final determination of <br />the special assessment. The interest rate shall be 12% per annum. <br />ALTERNATIVE AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to be benefitted owners will be less than computed <br />on the preliminary assessment rolls, the only alternative presented is to approve <br />the final assessment rolls. The front footage total for 14th Street has been <br />decreased since the scope of the work was reduced. <br />RECON VENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Final Assessment Rolls for the paving of 11th Avenue <br />and 14th Street be approved by the Board of County Commissioners and that they <br />be transmitted to the Office of the Clerk to the Board for collection. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, the <br />Board unanimously approved the Final <br />Assessment Roll for the petition paving <br />of 11th Avenue, 2nd Street to S. Relief <br />Canal, and transmitted to the Office of <br />the Clerk to the Board for collection <br />at the interestrate of 12% per annum. <br />i <br />
