It <br />appears that this is a result of unanticipated increases in main office <br />expenses. When we submitted our 1983-84 budget request last April, we <br />anticipated the total expenditures for 1982-83 would be approximately <br />$13,482.00. It now appears that we will be able to keep our actual <br />expenditures under $13,000.00 plus the $536.88 for supplies not in- <br />cluded in our budgeted items. I assume that these consist of tape <br />cassettes used for -depositions on Indian .River County cases. <br />If these supplies are to be charged against our budget, this will <br />necessitate a budget increase for Fiscal Year 1982-83 of approximately <br />$2,400.00. <br />We also added one additional full-time attorney and one full-time <br />investigator to the Indian River County staff during this past year <br />and it was virtually impossible to measure the exact impact that this <br />increase would have on our operating costs during this year. <br />Very truurs, j <br />E1 0 ,.,8: Schwarz <br />Pu is Defender <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the <br />Board unanimously approved the above <br />budget amendment, as recommended by <br />OMB Director Barton. <br />18 <br />
