JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT <br />The Board reviewed the following letter dated 8/8/83: <br />August 8, 1983 <br />The Honorable Bob Graham <br />Governor, State of Florida <br />The Capitol <br />Tallahassee, Florida 32301 <br />Dear Governor Graham: <br />We understand that an opening has been created on the St. <br />Johns River Water Management District Board. At our next regular <br />meeting on August 17, 1983 the Board of County Commissioners will <br />consider a Resolution, copy of which is enclosed; requesting that <br />you appoint D. Victor Knight, Jr. as a member of the District <br />Board. We will notify your office as to the final outcome of <br />this matter on August 17th, but considering that the Board of <br />County Commissioners unanimously recommended Mr. Knight back in <br />April.of 1981, I feel confident our Board will once again request <br />your consideration of this appointment. <br />I have personally had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Knight for <br />several years and believe him to be highly qualified to serve in <br />this most impoi-tant appointed position. <br />Sincerely, <br />Richard N.
