AUG 1.7 19$3- 09 Pari 290 <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />WHEREAS, BARBARA FRANKLIN came to Indian River County from <br />Ocean City, New Jersey in 1956; and <br />WHEREAS, BARBARA FRANKLIN served as a WAAC in the United <br />States Army in 1942; and <br />WHEREAS,—BARBARA FRANKLIN is a charter member of the Indian <br />River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad which was founded in May, <br />1966; and <br />WHEREAS, during- the past 17 years, 4 months, BARBARA <br />FRANKLIN has devoted 22,512 hours of active ambulance service <br />serving as a First Aider, Emergency Medical Technician, and <br />driver for the Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad; and <br />WHEREAS, BARBARA FRANKLIN served as Assistant Squad Chief in <br />1958-69, and has been a member of the Indian River County <br />Volunteer Ambulance Squad Board of Directors for the past 6 <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, as a charter member of the local Blood Bank, <br />BARBARA FRANKLIN has contributed 3 1/2 gallons of blood; and <br />WHEREAS, BARBARA FRANKLIN will be retiring from her position <br />at the Florida Medical Entomological Laboratories, as well as <br />from the Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad in <br />September, 1983. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board on <br />behalf of itself and the citizens of Indian River County does <br />congratulate BARBARA FRANKLIN for her 17 years of dedicated <br />service to the public; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board expresses and <br />extends to BARBARA FRANKLIN, the County's sincere appreciation <br />and best wishes in all her future endeavors. <br />Dated this 17th day of August, 1983. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF •UNTY, FLORIDA <br />Richard N.
