pr ­ <br />AUG 17 1983 <br />BOiOK .PAG4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-58 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA PROVIDING FOR <br />STATUTORY PER DIEM COMPENSATION FOR 1983 PROPERTY <br />APPRAISAL ADJUSTMENT BOARD MEMBERS. <br />WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of July 6, 1983, the <br />Board of County Commissioners appointed Chairman Richard N. Bird, <br />Vice -Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr., and Commissioner Margaret C. <br />Bowman to serve as the County Commission's delegates to the <br />Property Appraisal Adjustment Board for the 1983 hearings; and <br />WHEREAS, the School Board of Indian River County adopted <br />Resolution No. 84-2 on July 12, 1983, appointing their membership <br />to the Board and providing for allowance of per diem compensation <br />for such members in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter <br />194.015 (1981); and <br />WHEREAS, the cited statute requires a resolution from <br />both the County Commission and the School Board in order to allow <br />such compensation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD -OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS that: <br />1. The foregoing recitals, including the appointments <br />to this year's Board by the County Commission, are hereby ratified <br />and acknowledged; and <br />2. The stated members of the 1983 Property Appraisal , <br />Adjustment Board, or their respective replacements, may receive <br />per diem compensation for service provided on the Board, as <br />allowed by law for state employees, pursuant to the above cited <br />statute. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Scurlock who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Lyons and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Vice -Chairman Don C.
