property right now and then when we need our additional 10 <br />acres, we can either go to the airport property or go to <br />condemnation. <br />Administrator Wright felt the 10 acres actually is <br />needed for the courthouse in the future; the jail and <br />sheriff's complex will fit adequately on the 20 acres. <br />Chairman Bird wished to know if we would be able to <br />obtain a rear entrance off of 43rd Avenue with the utility <br />right-of-way that exists now. He felt the more accesses the <br />better. <br />Public Works Director Davis stated that it seems to be <br />a multi -use easement, and he did not believe there would be <br />any problem using it for other purposes. He suggested that <br />this be clarified in an agreement. <br />Commissioner Lyons noted that our option agreements run <br />until next Wednesday. He was not sure when he asked for <br />this to be on today's agenda whether or not we might have to <br />take some action with the City before their Council met. He <br />felt we might ask our Attorney to prepare an agreement for <br />the 10 acres southofthe Graves property and also ask him <br />whether he wants to get involved in the access question now <br />or not. <br />Attorney Brandenburg felt we can review what access is <br />available. He believed the City has some forms they will <br />want to use on the first right of refusal, and stated he <br />will try to have this by next Wednesday. <br />Commissioner Lyons noted that he would like to expand <br />the amount of property on which we can get a first right of <br />refusal to more than 10 acres. <br />It was agreed that action on the Graves contract can <br />wait until the next regular meeting at which time we should <br />have a full Board present. <br />Frank Zorc noted that the City offered the County 30 <br />acres on either side of 43rd Avenue and wished to know what <br />19 <br />AUG x`9.19$3 ���K fbcF X07 <br />
