He continued that it <br />would help if we had an ordinance that would allow us to do some <br />contractual zoning where they could come in with a site plan and <br />we could see if it would be a feasible use under the Plan. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />Itwasvoted on and carried unanimously. <br />ADDITION TO AGENDA - SBA CONTRACT (PARKS & RECREATIONAL AREA <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />Administrator Wright informed the Board that it is necessary <br />to bring the above grant back for further Board discussion, and <br />Attorney Brandenburg confirmed that the work listed under the <br />Jungle Trail portion of the grant will require permitting by -the <br />DER, and this cannot be accomplished within the grant time -frame. <br />The Jungle Trail project, therefore, will be dropped out of the <br />scope of the grant and these funds will be switched to the 17th <br />Street median project unless the Board elects otherwise. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unani- <br />mously added the above emergency matter to <br />today's agenda. <br />Commissioner Scurlock commented that he was unhappy that <br />there had not been formal bidding process through our Purchasing <br />Department, and Chairman Bird wished to know if we have time to <br />rebid 17th Street. <br />Urban Forester Paul Palmiotto reported that he has three <br />bids with him. Discussion ensued as to what will be allowed by <br />the DOT, and Mr. Palmiotto confirmed that he has the DOT permit <br />in hand to do the work that is listed in the specifications. <br />92 <br />SEP 7 1983 <br />aux .
