Chairman Bird agreed although he believed the City will get <br />all the credit for it. <br />Administrator Wright confirmed that staff recommended we go <br />with the priorities set out in the above breakdown. He agreed <br />this was not bid in the normal manner because of the time frame, <br />and assured the Board that in the future every effort will be <br />made to work through Purchasing. <br />Community -Services Director Thomas wished to emphasize that <br />the permitting was the problem with Jungle Trail, and they will <br />continue ,to make every effort to get some substantial grant money <br />for Jungle Trail. <br />Commissioner Scurlock suggested that, in the future, it <br />might be well to keep a few projects in various categories <br />sitting on the shelf for situations such as this where grants <br />suddenly become available. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unani- <br />mously accepted the recommendation.of staff <br />to do the projects under the SBA contract <br />as outlined by the Urban Forester. <br />DISCUSSION RE NEED FOR MATERNAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM <br />Health Director Dr. Lookabaugh informed the Board that there <br />is no maternal health care program in this county nar has one <br />been"funded for this year.
