Chairman Bird returned to the meeting at 4:40 o'clock <br />P.M. <br />COUNTY HEALTH DIRECTOR (Cont'd.) <br />The Chairman reported that he has talked with Dr. <br />Brumback in regard to the appointment of Dr. Tucker as <br />County Health Director and he believed that Dr. Tucker will <br />take over as of November 1st and that our facility will be <br />covered until that time by Dr. Tucker and others. <br />ROUND ISLAND PARR BOAT RAMP AND DAYBEACONS <br />Chairman Bird reminded the Board that this project was <br />tentatively approved some time ago and referred back to the <br />Parks & Recreation Committee who worked on the location and <br />design with the Engineering Department. Alternatives and <br />estimated costs from the June 8th memo are as follows: <br />ALTEMATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The following alternative is presented: <br />Construct 15' x 36' concrete ramp with 5' wide wood <br />deck each side of ramp $10,000 <br />Land clearing Australian pines from proposed 95' x 95' <br />unpaved trailer parking area. $ 1,200 <br />Permit application fee <br />100 <br />Sub --total $11,300 <br />6 Channel markers -- 10" x 10" prestressed concrete. <br />pilings with reflective daybeacon signs, $ 4,470 <br />Estimated total. cost <br />(Rounded) $15,800 <br />The Chairman continued that they are looking for <br />approval from the Board to construct this project using the <br />Boating Improvement Trust Funds that are available and that <br />approval would be subject to site plan approval. He <br />continued that this was initiated in 1981 by petitions of <br />people in that area., and this is probably the only deep <br />SEP 211983 743 <br />
