SRC #180 - Road Striping Paint (Annual Bid) <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 9/12/83: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: September 9, 1983 FILE: ' <br />THRU: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: IRC Bid #180 - P.oad Striping <br />Paint (Annual Bid) <br />FROM: GF,YXRAL ERVIC DIv ION <br />�,� REFERENCES: <br />Carolyn Voodrich, <br />Purchasing Depart <br />Descr_otion and Conditions <br />Bids were received August 30, 1983 at 11:00 A.M. for IRC #180 - Road Striping <br />Paint for the Traffic Engineering Department. <br />7 Bid Proposals were sent out, 4 bids were received. <br />Alternatives and Analysis <br />This is an annual Bid effective October 1, 1983 thru September 30, 1984. The <br />County is currently paying $6.10 per gal. for white paint and $6.20 per gal. <br />for yellow paint. <br />The low bid submitted by Southeastern Safety Supplies, Winter Park., F1. is <br />slightly lower than the second low bid submitted by Redland Prismo Corp., <br />Parsippany, PJew Jersey. However, their minimum order is 1000 gal. The. <br />Traffic Engineering Department does not have the space to store this quantity <br />of paint. <br />Reco=endation and Funding <br />Staff recommends IRC #180 be awarded to the Second low bidder, Redland Prismo. <br />There is $201,000 budgeted for FY83-84 in Account #004-245-541-35.35. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, the <br />Board unanimously awarded Annual Bid #180 <br />for road striping, to the second low bidder <br />Redland.Prismo, as recommended by staff. <br />30 <br />SEP 211983 MACE <br />
