Mr. Dorsey confirmed that the architects need every day <br />they can get to put something together between now and the <br />first of the year, and in fact, they should have started two <br />months ago. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, to author- <br />ize the architects to provide a Master Plan <br />for the Jail, the ultimate court facility and <br />the Sheriff's Administrative Building, to <br />proceed with the schematic phase of the <br />Corrections Facility, and to provide the <br />minimum additional information needed to make <br />these Facilities all work together; that <br />they also give us as quickly as possible a <br />new cost estimate on the Corrections Facility <br />with the understanding that we probably are <br />going to proceed with construction only on <br />the Corrections Facility at this time, which <br />will, of course, include water and sewer <br />improvements; the architect to provide de- <br />tailed architectural services cost for this <br />work. <br />Attorney Brandenburg asked if there is a firm figure on <br />the master plan, and Mr. Dorsey stated that the master plan <br />is included in the contract. <br />THE VICE CHAIRMAN called for the question. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously 3-0 <br />with Commissioner Wodtke and Chairman Bird <br />being absent. <br />73 <br />OCT...- 51983 <br />.
