OCT 19 1983 <br />k <br />scar :5 5PA f 48 <br />On both the other options, we have a first right of refusal <br />for an additional six months. <br />Commissioner Scurlock commented that he has confidence <br />in the Attorney and the Chairman to handle this matter, and <br />Commissioner Lyons concurred. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman and Attorney to do <br />whatever they feel is necessary re the options <br />involved with the beachfront properties. <br />ROUTE 60 WATER LINE <br />Attorney Brandenburg commented that at the last meeting <br />the Board authorized staff to work with individuals on Route <br />60 who want a water line. Staff did meet with these people, <br />and they were very concerned and eager to proceed and hope <br />the Commission will give permission to hire an engineer to <br />design this line. Attorney Brandenburg did not know if the <br />Administrator would want to go in-house on this or not, but <br />since the people are anxious to move ahead as soon as <br />possible and the competitive negotiation process takes at <br />least 112--2 months, he suggested that we start advertising <br />for engineers, but not let a contract until the developers <br />group is incorporated and agrees to pay their fair share of <br />the negotiated cost. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the County Attorney and staff to <br />proceed with the required advertising requesting <br />bids for engineering design of the SR 60 water <br />line extension. <br />55 <br />
