ELIZABETH PETERSON TO DISCUSS GIFFORD WATER <br />RATES <br />The Board reviewed the following letter dated 10/26/83: <br />October 26, 1983 <br />To whom it may concern: <br />My Name is Elizabeth Peterson, and I would like to meet <br />with the County Commissioner concerning the amount of <br />monthly water bills. You may contact me at 567-7515, <br />to set up an appointment. <br />Thank you, <br />Mrs. E. Peterson <br />Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson, 4726 35th Ave., appealed the <br />high water bills being received by Gifford area residents. <br />She stated that people were receiving $50 and $60 bills and <br />that is only for water`since they don't have sewers. <br />Chairman Bird explained that the Utilities Dept. <br />computes their charges by multiplying the gallons of water <br />used by the established rate. <br />Utilities Director Terry Pinto noted that Mrs. <br />Peterson's bill was for a considerable amount of water, and <br />water consumption is high in that area. There is literature <br />available in the Utilities Dept. office which recommend <br />44 <br />
