Smith TTE <br />Tax lD OS3$39-1-i60-i.0 <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2000-jgL <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />CANCETLING CERTAIN DELINQUET{T TA(ES UPON <br />PUBLICLY OWNED LANDS, PURSUAT{T TO SECTION 196.28, <br />FLORIDA STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, Section 196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of County Commissioners <br />of each- County to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes, delinquent o? current, held or <br />owned by lhe county or the slate, upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired by <br />any agency, gOvernmenlal subdivision, or municipality of the state, or the United States, for roaipulposes, defense purposes, recreation, reforestation, or other public use; and <br />WHEREAS, such cancellation must be by resolution of the Board of CountyCommissloners, drlly adopted and enlered upon its minutes properly describing such lands andselting forth the public use to which the same are or will ue oevbteo; airo <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of a certilied copy of such resolulion, proper officials of the <br />county and of lhe state are authorized, empowered, dnd directed to make pioper entrles upon therecords to accomplish such cancellation and to do all things necessary to iarry out the prdvlsions <br />of Seclion 196.28, F.S.; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEO BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, thAt: <br />1. The propgrty described on attached Exhibit "A' ls hereby accepted and any and all liens for <br />liaxes, delinquenl.or curenl, agalnst theproperty described In oR Book i342, page 1300whlch was recently acquked by Indian River_County for luture rlghl ot way ad hereby <br />canceled, pursuant to the authority of Section 196.29, F.S. <br />2. The Clerk tolhe Board of County Commissioners is hereby directed to send a ceilllted copy <br />of lhis resolution to the Tax Collector and the property Appialser. <br />The resolution.was m_oved for adoption by Commissloner Ginn , and lhemolion was seconded by Commlssioner stanbridge @o a vote, <br />the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Fran B.
