Re: R/W - Fellsmere/Sldewalk <br />William Heamdon <br />Tax lD (X)-31-37-9'l 140-1.0 <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2000- 094 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />CAT{CELLING CERTAIN DELINQUENT TA)(ES UPON <br />PUBLICLY OWNED LANDS, PURSUANT TO SECTION 196.28, <br />FLORIDA STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, Section 196.28, Florida Slatutes, allows the Board of County Commissioners <br />of each County to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes, delinquent or current, held or <br />owned by lhe county or the slate, upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired by <br />any agency, governmental subdivision, or municipality of the state, or the United States, for road <br />putposes, defense purposes, recreation, reforeslalion, or olher public use; and <br />WHEREAS, such cancellation must be by resolution of the Board of County <br />Commlssloners, duly adopted and entered upon its minutes properly describing such lands and <br />setting forlh the public use to which lhe same are or will be devoted; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of a certified copy of such resolution, proper officials of the <br />crunty and of the state are aulhorized, empowered, and directed to make proper entries upon the <br />records to accomplish such cancellalion and to do all things necessary to carry oul the provislons <br />of Section 196.28, F.S.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNW <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. The property described on atlached Exhibit "A' is hereby accepted and any and all liens for <br />taxes, delinquenl or cunenl, against the property described ln OR Book 1349, Page 1745 <br />which was recently acquired by Indian River County lor luturc rlght of way arc hereby <br />canceled, pursuant to the authority of Sectlon 196.28, F.S. <br />2. The Clerk to lhe Board of County Commissioners is horeby directed to send a certllled copy <br />of lhis resolulion to lhe Tax Collector and the Property Appraiser. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Gi nn , and the <br />motion was seconded by Gommissloner Stanhri dgp , and, upon belng put to a vote, <br />the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Fran B.
