Description and Conditions: <br />Bids were received October 25, 1983 at 11:00 A.M. for IRC Bid #189 - <br />New 1983 or 1984 Economy Pickup Truck for the Road & Bridge Department <br />Assistant Superintendent. The truck currently in use by the Assistant <br />Superintendent is a 1974 Ford and will be -kept and used at the County Barn. <br />The State Contract for automobiles and trucks expired August 31, 1983 <br />The new con'Lract will not be available until mid-November. <br />There is not a 4 cylinder economy pickup available on State Contract. <br />18 Bid Proposals were sent out, 6 bids were received. <br />2- A' ternatives and Analysis: <br />Of the 6 bids received, 2 did not meet specifications. The low bid was <br />submitted by Ft. Pierce Dodge in the amount of $6,742.31 for a Dodge D-50 <br />and meets all specifications. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding: <br />Staff recommends IRC Bid #189 be awarded to Ft. Pierce Dodge in the amount <br />of $6,742.31. <br />There is $7,700.00 budgeted in account #004-214-541-66-42 for the purchase <br />of an economy pickup truck. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, Commissioner Lyons <br />having left the meeting, the Board by a 4 to <br />0 vote, approved recommendation of staff and <br />awarded Bid #189 for a Dodge D-50 economy <br />pickup truck to the low bidder, Ft. Pierce <br />Dodge in the amount of $6,742.31. <br />132 <br />
