I <br />NOV 16 1993 <br />7th Court S.W. - between 3rd Street S.W. and 4th Street S.W. <br />Attorney Brandenburg advised that 7th Court S.W. had <br />been incorrectly advertised and recommended that the Public <br />Hearing be postponed to a later date and properly advertised <br />in order to consider other methods of assessment that are <br />not based on front footage alone. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the Board <br />unanimously postponed the Public Hearing on <br />7th Court S. W. between 3rd Street and 4th <br />Street S.W. to a later, properly advertised date, <br />in order to consider other methods of assessment <br />that are not based on front footage alone. <br />Attorney Richard Bogosian, representing Mr. Nickerson, <br />who had purchased the Renick property in.Whispering Palms, <br />pointed out that Mr. Nickerson had not signed the petition <br />which would result in his being assessed $7,146. His client <br />was presently in the hospital, and had asked him to <br />represent him today. <br />Commissioner Lyons suggested that we withhold <br />discussion on this matter as it is going to come back at a <br />later date. <br />Commissioner Wodtke suggested that Attorney Bogosian <br />meet with staff prior to the rescheduled Public.Hearing. <br />8th Avenue S.W. - between 3rd St. S.W. and 5th St. S.W. <br />Chairman Bird opened the Public Hearing and asked if <br />anyone wished to be heard. <br />Mr. Ralph Vandenburg, 349 8th Avenue S.W., stated that <br />while all of the residents want the road paved, they do not <br />want it paved to the extent proposed.
