Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received November 29, 1983 at 11:00 A.M. for SALE <br />OF COUNTY LAND - LOT 153, BLOCK 6 - HALL, CARTER & JAMES <br />SUBDIVISION. <br />All adjacent property owners were notified of the County's <br />intention to sell the above described property. <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />The high bid was submitted by Ervin & Millie Cartwright in <br />the amount of $1,000. Enclosed with the bid was a check for 10% <br />of the bid price as stated in the legal notice. The assessed <br />value of this lot,,taken from the tax roll, is $1,020. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Cartwright own Lot 152 and had, at a Commission <br />previous meeting, requested the Board to accept bids in order to <br />sell Lot 153. <br />3. Recommendation <br />It is my recommendation that we sell Lot 153 to Mr. and Mrs. <br />Cartwright; that the County Attorney be authorized to prepare a <br />deed;"and that the recording costs be the responsibility of the <br />Cartwrights. <br />I also recommend that the funds received from this sale be <br />deposited in an account earmarked for park acquisition and <br />development of existing properties. <br />I <br />
