ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, the Board <br />unanimously closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, that the <br />Board accept recommendation of staff and adopt <br />Ordinance 83444, rezoning Indian Lakes Condos <br />from R-3, Multiple Dwelling District, to R -2D, <br />Multiple Family District. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Scurlock felt confident <br />that Planning would be very involved during the site plan <br />process, and hoped that Mr. Wilson would improve his image <br />as a developer. <br />Commissioner Wodtke hoped that we can get away from <br />accusations or implications that have been made that staff <br />has not been doing their job. <br />Chairman Bird pointed out that the Commission has an <br />obligation to be consistent, and felt that multiple family <br />is a reasonable transition zoning between commercial and <br />44 <br />DEC <br />7 1993 <br />Hobart Landing "unparalleled beauty" after removing these <br />trees, but he has not yet fulfilled this promise. <br />Attorney O'Neill felt the question before the Board <br />today is not walls, but what is the best land <br />use. He <br />Pointed out that a reasonable compromise was reached at the <br />last meeting and Mr. O'Haire did not object at that time; <br />now, however, his clients are asking the Board to vote <br />against a density of 6 units per acre..
