Davis P.E. , REFERENCES: meeting minutes - July 14, 1982 <br />Public Works Director 2) Ordinance Establishing Vero LakE <br />Estates MSTU <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />During the July 14, 198A meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />staff was instructed to pursue the establishment of a Vero Lakes Estates MSTU, <br />and to study the following concerns: <br />1) Research the existance of an established, non-active Drainage District <br />for the area. <br />2) Assure that an equitable solution be presented such that a dual taxation <br />or payment is not created. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Staff has researched the jurisdiction of the Vero Lakes Water Control <br />District and the Delta Farms Water Control District and it has been determined <br />that the Vero Lakes Estates Subdivision is not included within the boundaries .. <br />of those Districts. <br />Also, the following data concerning the Vero Lakes Estates Area is <br />presented: <br />1982-83 Tax Figures <br />Assessed Value $18,186,803. <br />Taxable 16,489,522. <br />Parcel Count 3632 <br />Revenue received from taxes that funds the MSTU is 21%. <br />During FY 82/83, the Road and Bridge -Department performed the following <br />work: <br />Labor $33,653.92 <br />Equipment $1629174.00 <br />Total T195,827.92 <br />The above figures translate into the following: <br />Maint. Cost per parcel = $53.92 <br />One mil in 82/83 generated $16,489 from the Vero Lakes Estates area <br />No. mils required to generate $195,827.92 = 11.88 <br />The 1982/83 NISTU Approved Millage was 1.08 <br />49 <br />DEC 7 1933 Be -a 55 ?AcE-51 - <br />
