PROCLAMATION <br />PROCLAMATION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA COMMENDING JOSEPH <br />B. EGAN, III, CHAIRMAN OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, JOSEPH B. EGAN, III, upon appointment as Chairman <br />by the Governor, did organize and implement the Indian River <br />County Housing Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, in operation of that Authority, numerous low <br />income families, elderly, disabled and handicapped individuals <br />have been assisted; and <br />WHEREAS, innovative solutions to the needs of low and <br />moderate income families have been sought and implemented; and <br />WHEREAS, a pilot rehabilitation service for the County has <br />been implemented; and <br />WHEREAS, he has encouraged community development; and <br />WHEREAS, he assisted in the development of Treasure Coast <br />Village so that some low and moderate income families might own <br />their own homes; and <br />WHEREAS, he initiated surveys of resources, planning and <br />funding for the start of a new multi -family project; and <br />WHEREAS, when the choice of special interest or that of the <br />general good needed to be made, it was made in the interest of <br />all of the people in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, during the last four years he has contributed <br />substantial time and effort and provided unusual leadership for <br />the Housing Authority: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAI14ED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM- <br />MISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT JOSEPH B. <br />EGAN,III, is hereby extended the County's sincere congratulations <br />and appreciation for a job well done. <br />ATTEST: <br />BY ja� <br />FREDA WRIGHT, CL K <br />D E C 211983 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />BY <br />ICHARD N.
