fl E-C ix993 <br />Commissioner Lyons felt the water route, as stated in <br />the third "whereas" and again in Item #1, could be better <br />described and pointed out that the plant is not actually <br />located on Oslo Road. Director Pinto stated that the <br />connection will be made at 20th Street and Oslo Road, but <br />thought it best that this description not be refined just <br />yet because the engineering consultant is going to advise <br />exactly where the connection is going to be made and exactly <br />where it is going to end up. <br />Administrator Wright suggested that a line be added <br />stating, "from the existing distribution system,as <br />recommended by the consulting engineers." <br />Attorney Block, who prepared the proposed Water Service <br />Agreement, explained that the whereas clauses are the window <br />dressing and define why we are doing these things. <br />Obviously, the land owners who want to develop out SR #60 do <br />have some needs and want to be sure that the line at least <br />comes down from King's Highway. <br />Attorney Paull agreed that Director Pinto's suggested <br />language, "as the final version of the route is going to be <br />subject to review by the consulting engineer," should be <br />worked into the agreement, but felt that the agreement could <br />specify that the route will be running out State Road #60 <br />from Kings Highway. He explained that the main reason this <br />matter was placed.on the agenda today was to get the Board's <br />input and then bring it back in final form for.approval at <br />the next Board meeting. <br />Commissioner Wodtke questioned if this requires that we <br />really do an assessment and delineate an area that we are <br />going to assess; Vice Chairman Scurlock explained that this <br />was based on 2,050 taps for which people have voluntarily <br />come in and put their monies up front. <br />Director Pinto stated that the agreement was really the <br />assessment, and Attorney Block agreed that this is a <br />__ 29 <br />
