RESOLUTION NO. 84- 6 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA RENAMING CERTAIN <br />STREETS IN THE UNINCORPORATED AREA TO HIGHLAND <br />DRIVE S.E. AND HIGHLAND DRIVE S.W.. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is author- <br />ized by Florida Statutes §33.6.05 to name and rename streets and <br />roads lying outside of any incorporated municipalities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Division of the <br />County has identified five (5) streets or portions thereof within <br />the Vero Highlands Subdivision which warrant renaming in the <br />interest of clarity and consistency, and the facilitation of <br />public access and convenience. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />1. 23rd Street S.W., 12th Road S.W., 12th Avenue S.W., <br />and that portion of 20th Place S.W., lying north of 23rd Street <br />S.W., all within the Vero Highlands Subdivision, are hereby <br />renamed and designated as Highland Drive S.W.; and <br />2. 20th Place S.E., within the Vero Highlands <br />Subdivision, is hereby renamed and designated as Highland Drive <br />S.E.. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Bowman and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Ave <br />Vice -Chairman Patrick B. Lyons Aye <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Aye <br />Commissioner William C.
