STATUS REPORT RE REVISIONS TO COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCES <br />Attorney Brandenburg reported that planning consultants, <br />Solin and Associates, who were hired a couple of months ago <br />to prepare revisions to the County Zoning Code, have submitted <br />a preliminary report which has been reviewed by.the Legal <br />Dept., the Planning Department and the Chairman of the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission. As a result of that review, <br />Solin has submitted a draft of new residential and various <br />:other districts to replace those that are in our current <br />code. The County Attorney anticipated that a public --hearing, <br />can be scheduled in the very near future. <br />DISCUSSION RE BUILDING & ZONING PERMIT FEES <br />-- The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/23/84 and <br />Fee Schedule dated September, 1983: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: January 23, 1984 FILE: <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: BUILDING AND ZONING <br />PER14IT FEES <br />FROM: Michael Wright REFERENCES: Buil/Zon. Fees <br />County Administrator DIS:RMK <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their regular <br />meeting of January 18, 1984: <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />With the recent relocation of the County/City Building Department, <br />the reorganization of the. Planning and Development Division, and <br />the initiation ofa comprehensive approach to permit application <br />review, the staff has identified several problems in the existing <br />system as well as several opportunities to facilitate operation of <br />the process.
