Bwx= 5& PAGE. 8.7 <br />Vi -OC CA ----M A T 10 N <br />National Surveyors Week <br />1984 <br />WHEREAS, the people of the County of Indian River recognize <br />the valuable contributions of the surveying profession to <br />history, development and quality of life in the County of Indian <br />River and the United States of America; and <br />WHEREAS, the surveying profession requires special <br />education, training, experience and knowledge of the principles <br />of mathematics, related physical and applied sciences, and <br />requirements of law for adequate evidence; 'and <br />WHEREAS, since the early days of our Nation when many of <br />our forefathers, including our first and third Presidents, were <br />surveyors, the profession of surveying has continued to be <br />uniquely qualified to determine and describe land- and water <br />boundaries for the management of our natural resources and the <br />protection of private property rights; and <br />WHEREAS, President Reagan has signed into law a resolution <br />of the Congress of the United States authorizing the proclamation <br />of the week beginning on MARCH 11, 1984 as <br />"NATIONAL SURVEYORS WEEK" <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER' COUNTY, FLORIDA hereby designates <br />the week of MARCH 11-17, 1984 as "NATIONAL SURVEYORS WEEK" and <br />call upon all our citizens to observe such week with appropriate <br />ceremonies and activities paying tribute to professional <br />surveyors and their contribution to the people of Indian River <br />County. <br />ATTEST: <br />Al <br />Freda Wright, ger <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By C-Ale4t� <br />Do C.
