Fr' -- <br />FEB 15 1984 sQo �► FACE y <br />Administrator Wright explained that the retirement <br />systems of the County and the City were entirely different, <br />and Director Barton reported that the County received <br />everything we were entitled to from the City. An actuary <br />went in and assigned a value, as the pool of money in the <br />City retirement system was distributed to the members based <br />on the amount paid in over a number of years. <br />Commissioner Wodtke just wanted to make sure that the <br />employees realize that the shortfall that is being picked up <br />by the County is actually an employee benefit. <br />Director Barton explained that this was a enterprise <br />situation; there was no tax money involved; and it is coming <br />out of the enterprise fund and not the reserve.for <br />contingency fund. <br />ON MOTION MADE by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the Board <br />unanimously approved the above budget <br />amendment, as recommended by OMB Director <br />Barton. <br />PROCLAMATION - MENTALLY HANDICAPPED WEEK <br />Chairman Scurlock read the proclamation aloud and <br />presented it to Frank Julian, representing the Vero Beach <br />Council of Knights of Columbus. <br />12 <br />
