$5,000 to be transferred, and the Property Appraiser is <br />coming up with $5,000 out of his existing budget for a total <br />of $23,400, of which only a portion will be recovered this <br />year and a portion next year. <br />Question arose as to the need to bid an item of this <br />size, and Director Barton reported that it is State Contract <br />and has to be compatible with the system we have. <br />Property Appraiser Nolte noted that the price on this <br />printer is.substantially below the current list price. <br />Commissioner Lyons asked if other County Departments <br />can get any use out of this high speed printer, and Director <br />Barton reported that we are in the process of putting the <br />Planning and Building Department on the Property Appraiser's <br />computer to tie them in with the property records. Mr. <br />Nolte will give them the slower speed printer, and if they <br />should need to use the faster one, he will help them out. <br />Chairman Scurlock brought up the possibility of some <br />funds from the Planning budget. <br />Commissioner Bird stated that he does believe it might <br />be fiscally wise for us to make the requested expenditure. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />approved the budget amendment necessary to <br />purchase the printer for the Property Appraiser <br />as recommended by the OMB Director above. <br />P.
