MAR 7 1984 PACE <br />RECOMP=ATIONS AND FUNDING <br />The selection conTLittee recommends that the Board of County <br />Conanissioners approve the above priorities and that the County Administrator, <br />Coimty Attorney, and Public Works Director begin negotiating with the <br />No. 1 firm, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for a contract for services, <br />after which a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners would <br />be prepared. <br />There are no funding considerations at this time. <br />Administrator Wright explained that this process was <br />the same as the one used in selecting the consulting <br />engineer for the SR #60 waterline. Negotiations would begin <br />with the #1 firm and if an agreement wasn't reached, proceed <br />to the #2 firm, and, if necessary, continue with the #3 <br />firm. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, the Board <br />unanimously authorized the beginning of <br />negotiations with the No. 1 firm,'Kimley-Horn <br />and Associates, Inc., for a contract for <br />services re the southerly extension of Indian <br />River Blvd. to 12th Street, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />16TH STREET TRAFFIC & PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS - <br />CHANGE ORDER #1 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/29/84: <br />W. <br />
