County water should be available in <br />the near future. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the above analysis, particularly the definition of the <br />.�7node in the Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning pattern in <br />this area, and the Planning and Zoning Commission's <br />recommendation, staff recommends approval. <br />Richard Shearer, Chief, Long -Range Planning, showed a <br />slide of the property and a zoning map of the surrounding <br />property. <br />A letter of protest written in behalf of Mrs. Ferrari <br />who owns the property located on SR #60 between 49th and <br />50th was received in late January objecting to the rezoning <br />of the Camacho property. Mr. Shearer believed Mrs. <br />Ferrari's property was located east of the Camacho property <br />and was in an existing commercially zoned area. <br />Chairman Scurlock opened the Public Hearing and asked <br />if anyone wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Martin Wall, Attorney representing Mr. Camacho, <br />explained that the property is in the process of being sold <br />to Louis Schlitt as trustee, and the plan is to build either <br />a restaurant or a bank of some type there, but not in the <br />immediate future. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if anyone else wished to be <br />heard. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board <br />unanimously closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Ordinance 84-11, rezoning <br />approximately 1.34 Acres from R-1, Single Family <br />District, to C-lA, Restricted Commercial District, <br />as requested by Manuel Camacho. <br />
