He has been a resident of Vero Beach for approximately 8 years. <br />He graduated from Merrimack College, and Western New England Law <br />School. He is an avid tennis player and bicycle enthusiast. He <br />was on the first Vero Beach Recreation "Bike to Bangor" program. <br />KEN BAER <br />646 34th Terrace <br />Ken is Assistant Comptroller for Dixon/Bryn Marr. Hegraduated from <br />FAU, and has been a resident of Vero Beach for 41-2 years. He has a <br />financial background,_ and has coached football and baseball teams. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is my recommendation that the above 7 members be appointed to <br />serve on the County -wide Recreation Committee. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, to appoint <br />those listed in the above memo to the <br />County -wide Recreation Committee. <br />Discussion ensued regarding having a sufficient mix of <br />County and City residents on the committee, and Commissioner <br />Bowman pointed out that there is only one representative <br />from the North County, and Fellsmere has been overlooked <br />completely. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that Rene Van de Voorde is <br />chairman of the North County Recreation Committee which <br />encompasses the entire North County area. <br />Commissioner Bowman stressed that she would like to see <br />someone else from the North County on this committee, <br />possibly Susie Wilson. <br />Discussion followed as to having the Motion include, <br />besides approval of those listed, the possibility of an <br />additional member. <br />55 <br />MAR 211984 306K c+CEianQ` <br />
