RESOLUTION NO. 2009-057 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />SUPPORTING THE DESIGNATION OF THE FELLSMERE <br />CORRIDOR EXTENSION THROUGH THE UNIN- <br />CORPORATED AREA OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY; <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway Coalition has <br />proposed a 27 -mile corridor extension loop known as the Fellsmere Corridor Extension <br />generally described as Roseland Road from US 1 to CR -512; CR 512 from Roseland <br />Road to CR -507, CR -507 from CR -512 to Micco Road; and Micco Road from CR -507 to <br />US 1; and <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the extension lies within the unincorporated area of <br />Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County desires <br />designation as a scenic highway in the Scenic Highway Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />1. That the Board of County Commissioners supports the Coalition's efforts <br />in designating those portions of the Fellsmere Corridor Extension lying <br />within the unincorporated area of Indian River County, Florida as a scenic <br />highway. <br />2. The Board of County Commissioners intends to include the Corridor <br />Extension within its Comprehensive Plan. <br />3. A copy of this Resolution shall be delivered to all appropriate agencies <br />including the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization and <br />the Florida Department of Transportation and any other appropriate <br />agencies and organizations including federal, state and local agencies. <br />4. This Resolution 2009-057 shall take effect upon passage by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida. <br />This resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner O'Bryan and the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Solari and upon being put to a vote, the vote <br />was as follows: <br />Chairman Wesley S.
