RESOLUTION NO. 2009-175 <br />a. Each County Commissioner shall have the authority to make one <br />appointment to the Committee. A person appointed by each <br />Commissioner shall have utility or finance experience. <br />b. There shall be two members at -large appointed by a majority vote of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />No employee or former employee shall serve on the committee. <br />3. TERM OF OFFICE. <br />The term of office for each member shall be two years. <br />4. POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Utility Advisory Committee shall have the power and duty to: <br />a. Consider and study the entire field of utility matters regulated by: <br />• Indian River County Code Chapter 201 — County Water and Sewer <br />Services <br />• Indian River County Code Chapter 202 — Reclaimed Water <br />• Indian River County Code Chapter 204 — Solid Waste Disposal <br />b. Consider and study Electric Franchise matters. <br />C. Consider all matters submitted to it by the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />ATOM63dTA.]f`PK <br />The Utility Advisory Committee shall be advisory only and the members shall serve <br />without compensation. <br />6. GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />The provisions of Title 1, Chapter 103, relating to advisory boards and commissions <br />shall apply to this Committee. The Committee shall elect from among its voting <br />members a chairman and a vice chairman annually at its first meeting in January, or at <br />its next meeting if no meeting is held in January. A County Commissioner shall serve <br />as a non-voting liaison to the Committee. Each chair and vice chair shall serve for a <br />one-year term and may be reelected but shall be limited to two successive annual <br />terms, at which point they would be ineligible to chair the committee for at least one <br />year. <br />K <br />
