SECTION 16 <br />SANITARY REQUIREMENTS <br />Every residence and building in which human beings <br />reside, are employed.or congregated, shall be required to have a <br />sanitary method of disposing human excrement, gray water discharge <br />such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc.; namely, either a <br />sanitary water closet that is connected with the County or fran- <br />chised sewer, or an approved type of septic tank. A septic tank <br />will be used only if the property is more than two hundred (200) <br />feet from the gravity.sewer line. <br />SECTION 17 <br />DISPOSAL REQUIREMENT <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or <br />corporation owning or leasing any premises in the County to permit <br />the disposal of any human excrement on any property, leased or <br />rented by any such person, firm or corporation, except in a sani- <br />tary water closet, where sewage lines are available as defined <br />above. <br />SECTION 18 <br />STANDARDS FOR INSTALLATION OF SEPTIC TANK <br />No septic tank other than those approved by the appro- <br />priate agencies shall be constructed or installed within the <br />County. No septic tank shall be constructed on a property within <br />two hundred (200) feet of a County gravity sewer line. Where <br />elevation, soil conditions and environmental -requirements permit, <br />septic tanks will be preferred for single-family homes provided <br />with public or franchised water. For lots with wells and septic <br />tanks, there shall be no more than four (4) units per acre with a <br />limitation that the number of units per acre allowed shall be <br />determined by current Florida Department of Environmental <br />Regulation and Health Department Rules and Regulations existing as <br />of the date application is made. Multifamily buldings and commer- <br />cial buildings shall not be permitted to have septic tanks which <br />have a higher equivalent than that allowed for residential <br />connections. The standard of connection for multifamily and <br />commercial buildings not exceeding the above residential equi- <br />valent shall be as provided by the Florida Department of <br />-19- <br />R 4 84 BOOK '56 mu' 658 <br />AP 19 <br />
