1PR11 <br />1984 <br />BOOK <br />56t, PAGE <br />someone from coming in for a higher zoning. <br />She did <br />not see <br />why they couldn't stay with LD -1 and R-1. <br />The Board again explained that cannot be done, and <br />further noted that anyone can come in every year and <br />petition for rezoning. <br />Mrs. Reed then noted that her property is LD -1 and <br />zoned R-1, and it was explained that her property is <br />grandfathered in. <br />Attorney Byron Cooksey came before the Board repre- <br />senting Dr. and Mrs. Kelso. He informed the Board that the <br />Kelsos are unalterably opposed to rezoning to multiple <br />family or the continuation of it as commercial since it <br />would not be in keeping with the Land Use Plan. Based on <br />the fact that most of the property in Ercildoune Heights is <br />R-1 presently and because you could have only five single <br />family residences under the designation of LD -2 and R-1, <br />they would be agreeable with that as being in conformity <br />with the rest of the subdivision. Attorney Cooksey <br />reiterated that the Kelsos do vehemently object to any <br />commercial use or any multiple family use. <br />John Adkins, 14195 80th Ave., emphasized that all the <br />residents are proud of their neighborhood, and they do not <br />want multiple family dwellings in their area or any more <br />density. <br />Ellis Stapleton, 8065 142nd St., also spoke in <br />opposition to multiple family dwellings. <br />Arthur Jones, 14385 80th Ave., affirmed his opposition <br />to a change to anything other than single family. He <br />pointed out that any change will affect 65 lots, 75% of <br />which are already developed and emphasized that they do not <br />need a buffer zone. <br />R. L.
