APR 18 1984 <br />BOCK 56 PuE­746 <br />P <br />R O <br />C L <br />A M <br />A T I <br />O N ~ <br />WHEREAS, MAY 1st <br />is <br />LAW <br />DAY <br />U.S.A. <br />in the United States of. <br />America; and s <br />WHEREAS, the foundation of individual freedom and liberty <br />is the body of the law that governs us; and <br />WHEREAS, The Constitution of the United States of America, <br />and the Bill of Rights, are the heart of that body of law which <br />guarantees us many freedoms - including, among others, freedom of <br />religious belief, freedom to hold property, freedom of assembly, <br />freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of petition, and <br />due process of law; and <br />WHEREAS, this year marks the 27th annual nationwide, <br />observance of LAW DAY, and the Congress of the United States and <br />the President by official proclamation have set aside May 1st as <br />a special day for recognition of the place of law in American <br />life; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that MAY 1, 1984 be <br />designated as LAW DAY U.S.A. and call upon all citizens, schools, <br />businesses, clubs and the news media to commemorate the role of <br />law in our lives. <br />ATTEST: <br />Freda Wright, Clerk <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />BY_ <br />Don C.
