Im <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that anti-trust lawyers are <br />cropping up all over the place, and county commissions and <br />city councils are becoming quite fearful. Scare tactics are <br />being used, and even if the County acts in good faith, it's <br />no defense anymore against the liability involved in the <br />anti-trust laws. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested that we ask the County <br />Attorney to research individual bills that_are presently in <br />process to see if any or all of these bills fit our needs. <br />Vice Chairman Lyons felt that the only bill that <br />embodied the three factors for which NACo is urging support <br />is the bill by Representative Fish. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, the Board <br />unanimously (3-0) requested the County <br />Attorney to prepare a Resolution <br />supporting an appropriate bill as discussed. <br />DISCUSSION RE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BEING DECLARED A DISASTER <br />AREA DUE TO CROP LOSSES AFTER SEVERE FREEZE <br />The Board reviewed the following letter dated 4/4/84: <br />50 wK 56 PW 783 <br />APR 18 1984 <br />y <br />.e .. <br />
