Surplus Property - Vehicles <br />56 PAGE80 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 4/13/84: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: April 13, 1984 FILE: <br />THRU: Michael Wright SUBJECT: Surplus Property <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: REFERENCES: <br />Carolyn!Goodrich, Manager <br />Purchasing Department <br />1. Description and Conditions <br />Recently 4 new automobiles were.purchased for the Building Department. There <br />are (6) 1978 Dodge Aspens no longer being used by the Building Department. The <br />2 vehicles in the best overall condition are being repaired and re -conditioned <br />by the Fleet Management Department. The intention at this time is to assign 1 <br />vehicle as a pool vehicle and assign the other vehicle to Building & Grounds/ <br />Safety. <br />Attached is a list of the other 4 vehicles. Three of the vehicles have 100,000+ <br />miles. The other vehicle has 85,000. A copy of an estimate for repairs prepared <br />by Jack McCorkle is also attached. <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />Under Florida State Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners must declare <br />these vehicles as surplus before they can be disposed of by selling to the best <br />bidder. <br />3. Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners declare these vehicles <br />as surplus, so they can be sold. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, the Board <br />unanimously (4-0) declared the above mentioned <br />vehicles as surplus in order that they may be <br />sold, as recommended by Purchasing Manager <br />Carolyn Goodrich. <br />9 <br />
