MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, to accept <br />with regret the resignation of Mr. Norton <br />and send him a letter of appreciation. <br />Commissioner Bird requested that the media emphasize <br />that we are looking for a representative to replace Mr. <br />Norton. <br />Commissioner Wodtke suggested we ask the Attorney to <br />draft a Resolution or Proclamation of thanks, and Attorney <br />Brandenburg reported that he has it in the works. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0). <br />TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF COMMISSIONER BOWMAN'S DUTIES <br />Chairman Scurlock informed the Board that until <br />Commissioner Bowman is able to resume actively representing <br />the Board in various capacities, he would like Commissioner <br />Wodtke to be authorized to take a more active role in the <br />North County Fire District and temporarily assume the <br />Chairmanship. He further requested that Commissioner Lyons <br />assume Commissioner Bowman's position on the Regional <br />Planning Council until she is able to return. <br />Commissioners Wodtke and Lyons agreed as did the other <br />Board members. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS - PARKS & RECREATION,.COUNTYWIDE <br />RECREATION STUDY, GOLF COURSE FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />Commissioner Bird informed the Board that since his <br />reports are quite lengthy and the hour is late, he would <br />write memos on the above committee activities and supply <br />them to the Board members. <br />MAY 2 1984 <br />MOK 56 qac€887 <br />
