Chairman Scurlock emphasized that he had intended it to <br />be discussed and action taken and believed he had made this <br />clear at the last meeting and is on record that he would add <br />it to the agenda in order to be able to give Congressman <br />Nelson a response regarding the referendum. <br />Commissioner Lyons wished to be fair and felt in that <br />case, it is a different matter. <br />Chairman Scurlock suggested that this item be added to <br />the agenda as Item 15B for information, and then if it <br />becomes apparent that action should be taken, we will go <br />with that. <br />Commissioner Lyons agreed. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if there is any legal problem <br />with taking action today, and Attorney Brandenburg stated <br />that there was not. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0). <br />Chairman Scurlock next reported that he attended a <br />meeting last night re a possible water and sewer transfer <br />with the City, and he would like to have his report on that <br />meeting added to the agenda so that he can be sure he has <br />the concurrence of the Commission to move ahead with more <br />discussions. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) added the above item to the agenda. <br />Administrator Wright informed the Board that the Town <br />of Indian River Shores has requested that Item 7 E re the <br />County assuming control and maintenance of Old Winter Beach <br />Road within the Town limits be deleted from the agenda. <br />3 <br />JUN S 1984 BOOK 57 PAGE'263 <br />
