Final Payment and Approval of Change Order No. 8.102-5 <br />Tracking Station Park - Landscaping <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/5/84: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: June 5, 1984 FILE: <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright, <br />County Administrator SUBJECT: <br />Request for Final Payment and <br />Approval of Change Order No -8102 - <br />Tracking Station Park - Landscapi <br />Glenn and Mike's Landscaping, Inc <br />FROM: James W. REFERENCES: <br />Public Works Directo <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On December 13, 1983, the County entered into a contract <br />with Glenn and Mike's Landscaping, Inc. for landscaping of the <br />Tracking Station Park, in the amount of $31,092.25. The Notice - <br />to -Proceed was issued for work to begin on December 14, 1983 <br />and be complete on or before Feb. 11, 1984. At this time the <br />work is complete and the Contractor is requesting final payment. <br />A change order to reconcile unit quantities is required. <br />ANALYSIS AND ALTERNATIVES <br />The Public Works Division inspected the work on May 28, 1984 <br />and, after vegetation was replaced due to drought conditions <br />and the December, 1983 freeze, the work was accepted. A change <br />order was prepared resulting in a net decrease of $449.85, thereby <br />making the final cost $30,642.40 for the project. The contractor <br />has submitted the following as required: <br />1) As -built plans <br />2) Release of Lien by Subcontractor <br />3) Final Payment Request in the amount of $8,795.58 <br />4) Contractor Final Affidavit. <br />5) Contract reconciliation change order executed by Contractor <br />Due to the December, 1983 freeze, the contractor was delayed. <br />The work was complete on May 28, 1984, a 107 day time extension <br />is justified and provided for in the change order. <br />10 <br />
