RESOLUTION 2010- 034 <br />WHEREAS, there are currently 43 advisory committees organized pursuant to <br />statute, code or resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, a recent study discovered that each advisory committee meeting <br />may cost as much as $1,200 in costs and expenditures of staff time; and <br />WHEREAS, additional budget short falls are projected for fiscal year 2010 -2011; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County's economy does not foresee an improvement in the near <br />future, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. The following advisory committees are hereby dissolved and sunsetted sixty (60) <br />days from the date of this resolution: Conservation Lands Advisory Committee, Utility <br />Advisory Committee, Public Library Advisory Board, Emergency Services District <br />Advisory Committee, Historic Resources Advisory Committee, Land Acquisition <br />Advisory Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, Professional Services Advisory <br />Committee. <br />2. The Board wishes to express its deepest appreciation to all past and present <br />Advisory Committee members for their hard work and dedication to the job assigned to <br />them. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Solari, and the motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Davis, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman Peter D. O'Bryan aye <br />Vice Chairman Bob Solari aye <br />Commissioner Wesley S. Davis aye <br />Commissioner Joseph E. Flescher nay <br />Commissioner Gary C. Wheeler aye <br />
