RESOLUTION NO. 2010- 017 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />PROVIDING FOR NOTICE ON MATTERS OF INTEREST TO THE <br />UNINCORPORATED GIFFORD COMMUNITY. <br />WHEREAS Gifford, Florida is an unincorporated area, and as such is not <br />currently receiving notices typically given to municipalities within Indian River <br />County as required by the intergovernmental coordination element of the County <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS during 2009 members of the Gifford community were shocked <br />and distressed to find that a concrete plant had been approved at a staff level <br />without notice to the community; and <br />WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners directed that henceforth <br />notice be provided to interested members of the Gifford community; and <br />WHEREAS that directive was implemented during the public hearings <br />held in December of 2009 with respect to funding for the Gifford Community <br />Center; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that when County <br />staff becomes aware of any matters that may be of interest to residents of <br />unincorporated Gifford, that the following persons and/or entities be given written <br />notice of such matters of interest: <br />President <br />Progressive Civic League of Gifford, Florida, Inc. <br />4570 57th Avenue <br />Vero Beach, FL 32967 <br />Executive Director <br />Gifford Youth Activity Center, Inc. <br />4100 20th Street <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />Gifford Front Porch Florida <br />3300 43rd Avenue, Suite #2 <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />1 <br />
