RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 024 <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has started the process of designating the proposed <br />INEOS New Planet BioEnergy LLC site as a Brownfield Area in accordance with the Florida <br />Brownfield Redevelopment Act (sections 376.77-376.86, Fla, Stat.); and <br />WHEREAS, INEOS New Planet BioEnergy LLC has prepared an application for a grant <br />under the State of Florida's Brownfield Redevelopment Bonus Refund Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida's Brownfield Redevelopment Bonus Refund Program <br />requires a 20% local government match for a business to qualify for the state's Brownfield <br />Redevelopment Bonus Refund grant; and <br />WHEREAS, INEOS New Planet BioEnergy LLC has submitted an application for a local <br />jobs grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the INEOS New Planet BioEnergy LLC local jobs grant application meets <br />all applicable county requirements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board of County <br />Commissioners hereby recommends to Enterprise Florida that INEOS New Planet BioEnergy <br />LLC be approved as a Qualified Target Industry Business pursuant to s.288.106, Florida Statutes, <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby agrees <br />to make the necessary commitment of local financial support in the amount of $33,000 for <br />INEOS New Planet BioEnergy's application for the Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund <br />Program and, if the proposed INEOS New Planet BioEnergy LLC site is officially designated by <br />the County as a Brownfield Area in accordance with the Florida Brownfield Redevelopment Act <br />(sections 376.77-376.86, Fla, Stat.), the Board of County Commissioners hereby further agrees to <br />2 of 4 <br />
