JUL 18 7984BooK 57 F�0L 7.9 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />approved the above budget amendment as recom- <br />mended by the OMB Director. <br />DISCUSSION RE DATE FOR BUDGET HEARINGS <br />OMB Director Barton informed the Board that the first <br />tentative budget adoption hearing must be no earlier than 60 <br />days nor later than 75 days from the date of certification <br />of property values by the Property Appraiser, which puts it <br />from September 1st to September 15th. The School Board gets <br />the first choice of dates, and then we must pick ours. The <br />School Board has settled on Thursday night, September 13th, <br />and the OMB Director recommended setting our first hearing <br />for Wednesday night, September 12th, at 7:00 P.M. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) accepted the staff recommendation and set <br />the first tentative budget hearing for Wednesday, <br />September 12, 1984, at 7:00 P.M. <br />Commissioner Bird inquired about dates for the budget <br />workshops, and OMB Director Barton anticipated that they <br />would start on Monday the 30th of July with meetings all <br />that week and on into the following week, August 6th and 7th <br />and possibly the afternoon of the 8th. <br />Administrator Wright believed the Sheriff is scheduled <br />to present his budget on Wednesday afternoon, July 25th. <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF A ROAD & BRIDGE DEPT.
