AUG 1 1984 <br />BOOK 57 FA -U.0750 <br />SECTION 8. LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS FOR NON- <br />VEHICULAR OPEN SPACE AREAS <br />A. General Landscaping Treatment <br />All non -vehicular open spaces on any site proposed <br />for development in all zoning districts, except for sin- <br />gle-family dwellings, shall conform to the minimum landscaping - <br />requirements herein provided. <br />Grass, ground cover, shrubs, native plant areas and <br />other landscaping materials shall be used to treat all ground <br />not covered by building, paving, or other structures. <br />B. Trees Required <br />Trees shall be planted in the non -vehicular open <br />space to meet the following requirements: <br />(1) Multiple -family residential zoning districts and <br />mobile home residential zoning districts requiring site plan <br />approval - a minimum of one tree per each 2000..square feet or <br />fraction thereof; <br />(2) B-1, C-lA, C-1 Commercial Zoning Districts and <br />Medical District - minimum of one tree per each three thousand <br />(3,000) square feet or fraction thereof; <br />(3) C-2 Commercial, LM -1, and M-1 Industrial Zoning <br />Districts - a minimum of one tree per each four thousand five <br />hundred (4,500) square feet or fraction thereof. <br />SECTION 9. LANDSCAPE PLAN & CERTIFICATE OF <br />OCCUPANCY <br />A. No construction requiring site plan review shall <br />be undertaken in Indian River County until a landscape plan has <br />been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The <br />Planning and Zoning Commission will not approve any landscape <br />plan unless it conforms to the requirements of this ordinance, <br />and is submitted for site plan approval under Section 23 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance [Appendix A], if required. <br />When the redevelopment, reconstruction, upgrading, <br />expansion or change in use of a previously developed site is <br />such that site plan review is required by County ordinance, <br />12 <br />_I <br />
