SEP 5 1984 BOOK 5 <br />split into amounts so small that no one would be able to <br />accomplish anything. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0) <br />/HIRE APPRAISERS FOR RAILROAD R/W ALONG SR 512 <br />The Administrator reviewed the following memo: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: August 29, 1984 <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: <br />FROM: Michael Wright REFERENCES: <br />County Administrator <br />FILE: <br />Several months ago the Board of County Commissioners <br />instructed staff to proceed with appraisals of the rail- <br />road property parallel to State Road'512 in Sebastian. <br />The staff, with assistance from owner Roland Miller, <br />negotiated an appraisal price with Peter Armfield of <br />Armfield-Houck Appraisal & Research, Inc. to perform an <br />appraisal at a..cost not to exceed $5,500: *Mr. Armfield <br />agreed to do the appraisal on a time and effort basis <br />which could result in the price being less than the maxi- <br />`- mum amount. <br />It is recommended the staff be authorized to proceed <br />with the appraisal at a cost not to exceed $5,500.: <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, to authorize <br />staff to proceed with the appraisal of the <br />railroad property parallel to SR 512 in <br />Sebastian at a cost not to exceed $5,500. <br />Commissioner Bowman wished to know if this is a reason- <br />able figure, and Administrator Wright explained that the <br />82 <br />
