Chairman Scurlock inquired if the Motion will authorize <br />the Chairman to execute the bid contracts, and Commissioner <br />Lyons agreed that is part of his Motion. Commissioner Bird <br />concurred. <br />Commissioner Wodtke wished it clarified that the Motion <br />affirms that we will expand all court facilities in the <br />downtown area. <br />Commissioner Lyons agreed that was the intent of the <br />Motion, but if it should get to be an impossible situation, <br />obviously we would have to rethink it. He felt, however, we <br />must set a policy and state where we are heading. Chairman <br />Scurlock agreed and felt we can indicate that this is our <br />intent at this time. <br />Discussion continued re the economics involved, the <br />various factors, the possible need to have a complex in the <br />North County in the future, etc. <br />Commissioner Bowman stated that she did believe the <br />court complex belongs at the County seat. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on the <br />Motion, including authorization for the <br />Chairman to execute the bid contracts re <br />the fourth courtroom with Audiohouse, Inc., <br />Rebecca Starr Design, Inc., and Diprima <br />Construction Co. <br />IT WAS VOTED ON AND CARRIED 4 to 1 with <br />Commissioner Wodtke voting in opposition. <br />15 <br />a <br />BOOK 58 PnF 219 <br />
