She noted that <br />the PEPS system is being used in Martin County and is <br />basically the same system as used in St. Lucie County. <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported that in the system used in <br />St. Lucie County, the voter cards come back from the <br />precincts in a locked box and are released to the Data <br />Center. Through a computer program, the cards are counted <br />and projected on a screen in the Commission Chambers where <br />everyone concerned could see the up to the minute count.
