SEP 121984 <br />_I <br />BOOK .9 FA'-,, .30 <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing on the Rockridge <br />Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxing District. <br />OMB Director Barton explained that this is a special purpose <br />street lighting district that is taxed on a per parcel acre <br />basis. The proposed levy is $5.00 per parcel acre, which is the <br />same as last year's levy, and the proposed.budget is $3,817. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />_ approved a tentative assessment of $5.00 per <br />parcel acre for the Rockridge Street Lighting <br />Municipal Service Taxing Unit for the fiscal <br />year 1984-85. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />approved a tentative budget of $3,817 for <br />the Rockridge Street Lighting Municipal Serv- <br />ice Taxing Unit for the fiscal year 1984-85. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing on the Laurelwood <br />Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxing District. <br />OMB Director Barton reported that the proposed levy is <br />$23.00 per parcel acre, which is up $6.00 per parcel acre from <br />last year's levy. The proposed operating budget- is $7,050. Mr. <br />Barton noted that the single largest item is that last year's <br />budget was under budgeted, and the developer made contributions; <br />actually, it was underwritten -,by an outside party. <br />15 <br />
